Range Cleaning Chrome Drip Pans and Trim Rings
To clean Chrome drip pans and trim rings:
- Wash regularly in hot soapy water.
- A plastic scouring ball or a stiff bristled brush may be used to remove burned on soil.
- Rinse them in clean hot water and polish with a dry cloth before placing them back on the range.
- Never use abrasive cleaners or steel wool, they will scratch the surfaces.
- Can be cleaned in dishwasher.
For best results on heavy soil, follow the procedure below:
- Put the trim ring or drip pan and 1/4 cup of ammonia in a plastic bag or container. Use a separate bag for each pan or trim ring (the fumes will soften the soil).
- Allow to soak overnight.
- Remove from the bag and rinse thoroughly.
- Polish with a soft cloth.
Caution: Be aware of the strong fumes when opening the bag.
Do not attempt to clean chrome drip pans or trim rings in the self-cleaning oven. They will warp and discolor.
