Range Care and Cleaning of Chrome or Metal Finish

Following are the directions for cleaning metal surfaces, including brushed chrome cooktops.Materials to use:

• Soap and Water
• Thick paste of baking soda and water
• Cooktop Cleaning Cream (Cerama Bryte or Cooktop Cleaning Cream). Purchase a GE Appliance accessory online.
• A light coat of baby oil can be applied to give a shine and repel water spots.

• Wash, rinse, and polish with a dry cloth. Do not use steel wool, abrasives, ammonia, acids or commercial oven cleaners. These products may cause damage to the finish. For model specific information, consult the Owners Manual. Download a copy of the Owners Manual.
