Can I reuse passwords?

Can I link my Facebook, Twitter, or Google account to my GE Appliances / SmartHQ™ Account?
If you created a GE Appliances Account using your social media account, you will not be able to create an account using your email and password. If you created an account using an email address and password, and then later create an account using your social media profile, you may be able to link the two.

Can I link my SmartHQ account with my GE Appliances Account?
Yes. If you are using the SmartHQ app to manage your smart appliances, the account email and password may also be used to log into your GE Appliances Account. If you create a GE Appliances Account and later download the SmartHQ app, you can log into the SmartHQ account on the app using your GE Appliances Account email address and password.

I have an account that I use to order parts. Can I sign in with that email address and password?
Yes. The same email address and password used with SmartOrder Subscription account can be used to sign into your account. You will have access to the information stored in your old account, as well as the ability to now view previously registered appliances, past parts orders, and completed service calls.
The first time you login to the GE Appliances Account, you will be prompted to enter your name and accept the terms.
I have an Account that I set up on CafeAppliances.com. Can I use the same log-in for the GE Appliances Account?
The same account log-in can be used for a GE Appliances Account or Cafe Appliances Account. The log-in and appliance information displayed (ex. registered products) will be the same.
I already have both a Parts (SmartOrder Subscription) account and a SmartHQ account, but they use different log-in information today. Which do I use when signing into my GE Appliances Account?
You can use either; however, the accounts are separate and information entered under one account might not be available in the other account.
Does it matter what internet browser I use when setting up my Account?
You cannot use Internet Explorer (IE) as a browser; otherwise, it does not matter what browser you use.
