Microwave - Combination Fast Bake / Combination Fast Cook

Some microwaves offer Combination Fast Bake, also referred to as Combination Cooking and Combi, which combines microwave energy with convection cooking. The microwave energy cooks foods faster than convection alone, and the convection cooking provides browning and crisping of foods in a way that microwave cooking alone cannot. This is ideal for meats, casseroles, and other food items that typically take a long time to cook. Combination Fast Bake/Cooking cooks food about 25% faster on average.

Using the Combination Fast Bake / Fast Cook on a Microwave Oven

To use, you set the temperature and a cook time as outlined in the Owner's Manual for the specific model you own.

This is a different feature than Speedcook on our Advantium ovens, which has pre-programmed recipes that automatically set a microwave level, upper heating level, and lower heating level according to the food in the pre-programmed menu.
