Refrigerator - Software / Firmware Updates for Models With & Without WiFi

Refrigerators don't generally require software or firmware updates. Should one be needed, you will receive a communication (phone call, letter, or email) from GE Appliances with the necessary information. If you have a smart refrigerator and have it connected to your WiFi, software updates are sent to your smartphone.

If you have a GE Appliances refrigerator with Built-In or Optional WiFi, you can get software updates for your refrigerator by connecting your refrigerator to your WiFi using the SmartHQ™ app.
