Wall Oven and Ranges - What to Remove Before Self-Cleaning
Using the self-clean cycle is an easy way to clean your oven. The self-clean cycle uses very high temperatures (up to 885F) to clean the oven interior.
Remove:
- It is important to remove all items from the oven, including cooking probes, foil, silicone mats or liners, cookware, pans, etc.
- Racks should also be removed, except for "no scrub" or "self-clean" racks. Racks labeled as "No scrub" or "self-clean" can be left in the oven. Your Owner's Manual will indicate whether they are self-clean racks.
- We don't recommend using your oven for storage or lining the shelves/floor with foil or silicone mats; however, if they are used and left in the oven during self-clean, damage to the oven may occur. Make sure all items are moved from the oven.
