ClearView Air Conditioner - FL on the Display
With ClearView Air Conditioners, water from the cooling process is collected in the indoor pan. When the water gets to a certain level, an internal pump will pump water to the outdoor side to evaporate or drain.
If there is too much water in the pan in the indoor side, an "FL" error code appears on the display. This means the water in the indoor side needs to be drained. In areas with very high humidity, the indoor side may not be able to pump enough water to the outdoor side, causing the "FL" to appear. Another possibility for the "FL" code is that the pump has stopped working. The Air Conditioner will turn off when the pan gets too full so that it doesn't continue to collect water.
Getting an "FL" Error Code on the Display
- Drain the indoor side, and if the "FL" code continues, drain the outdoor side too. Follow the directions in the Owner's Manual or visit our ClearView Air Conditioner - Draining the Appliance article.
- Clean the drain pump filter after removing it to drain the water from the indoor side. Follow the directions in the Owner's Manual or visit our Clearview Air Conditioner - Care and Cleaning article.
- If "FL" still appears in the display, disconnect power to the Air Conditioner for 30 seconds to reset.
