Range - How to Remove and Install Soft Close Storage Drawer

Most Electric and Gas Ranges have a storage drawer at the bottom of the appliance. There are a few types of storage drawers. This article provides direction on removing and installing a soft close storage drawer.

Removing a Soft Close Storage Drawer

Step 1: Pull the drawer straight out until it stops.

Step 2: While pulling the drawer forward, press in the left rail release and right rail release.

Installing a Soft Close Storage Drawer

Step 1: Place the left drawer rail around the inner left rail guide and slide it in slightly to hook it.

Step 2: Place the right drawer rail around the inner right rail guide and slide it in slightly to hook it.

Step 3: Slide the drawer all the way in.

Note: In rare cases, the soft close mechanism may become uncoupled from the drawer. To reset this mechanism, remove the drawer and slide the catch pin forward. Then, reinstall the drawer.
