Range - About the Storage Drawer
The storage drawer on a range provides a convenient place to store baking and broiling pans. It is tested to hold up to 25 pounds and is easy to remove and keep clean. We are providing information regarding the design and use of the storage drawer below.
Making Use of the Storage Drawer On a Range
Removing and Cleaning
The drawer can be removed by pulling it all the way out to the stop position, then lifting up and pulling the drawer out the rest of the way.
You can clean by wiping with a damp, soapy cloth or sponge. Never use harsh abrasives or scouring pads, as they may scratch the surface of the drawer.
Drawer Construction
Free-Standing electric ranges have double wall construction storage drawers. They have two pieces of steel separated by approximately a 1/2 inch of space. This design helps to prevent exterior dents from occurring when placing heavy objects in the drawer.
All other ranges have single wall construction storage drawers.
Uses
The drawer can be used for heat-safe cookware and pans.
Do not place materials such as dish towels, papers, cookbooks, Owner's Manuals, contact paper, or shelf liner in the storage drawer because the drawer can get warm or even hot while cooking in or self-cleaning the oven.
