Range & Wall Oven - Oven Calibration - Oven Temperature Knobs and Up and Down Pads on Control
If your gas or electric oven temperature does not match your expectations, you can calibrate (adjust) your oven temperature. The steps for oven calibration depend on the type of oven controls. This adjustment will not affect the broiling or self-cleaning temperatures. It will be retained in memory after a power failure. Consult the Owner's Manual for directions specific to your model.
Calibrating the Oven Temperature on Models with Oven Temperature Knobs and Up and Down Pads on the Control
For models with an oven temperature control knob AND Up and Down arrows on the control panel, here are the steps to calibrate the oven temperature.
- Put the OVEN TEMP in the OFF position.
- Press and hold the HOUR +/- pads for 5 seconds until the display changes.
- Before the display changes back, press the HOUR +/- pads to increase and decrease the temperature in 5 degree increments.
- Wait several seconds for the control to automatically set and return to its previous setting.
